Getting past turrets and other dangerous enemies

When you need to run a long way and have some objects with you (for example, a non-explosive barrel), if you have the Gravity Gun, use it as cover, and run (while facing the enemy) to the other side. Then if possible, shoot the barrel at the enemy. Note: Make sure there is only one enemy when doing this. Also, make sure the object is indestructible, and most importantly, look at the enemy and see if you can kill it with one shot.

Set the system date to October 31. After you are ambushed by Hunters and Combine at a big house, drive along the road. Near where the supply cache is found, you will see an old truck. Go up to it, and there will be lots of pumpkins lying on the ground.

The graffiti in the game are clues for the ApertureScience.com website. Go to the site, and enter "LOGIN" as a command. Enter "CJOHNSON" as a username and "TIER3" as a password. After logging in, type "HELP" for a list of commands.

Box head pictures

On the level where you get the companion cube after you run past the energy balls and are in the room with the three elevators, there are two doors leading to a catcher and a platform that is pushed out of the wall. Walk up to the platform that is pushed out. Crouch behind it, and walk through the opening. On the left hand side are a group of pictures of people with boxes for heads and hearts around them.

As an engineer, do not wait for your building. Just whack it with the wrench so that it builds faster.

Assassin's Creed

Completion bonus

Successfully complete the game. When the Memory Blocks are played again in Story mode, you can kill anyone without penalty. Additionally, you will be able to use Eagle Vision at any time regardless of Synchronization levels inside of the Animus.


Escaping from guards

Go to a high roof when chased. Kill the guards that appear. After a few kills, they will either run or give up.


Easy citizen missions

When helping a citizen, do not just attack the guards. Hold L2 and press Square with the dagger ready. This will eliminate one of the guards and give you a better chance. Sometimes you can assassinate two guards before they notice you.


Easy kills

Note: Only attempt this technique if they are fluent in the Rank 2 skill "Counter" and they have enough Synchronization bars; one and a half rows of bars will do. When in battle, equip your hidden blade. With this equipped, all of your counters will score an instant kill. You can even instantly kill tougher ranked guards (for example, the Teutonic guards in Acre when hunting Sebrand). Also, most of the time using the hidden blade in battle will scare the last one or two (even three if you are lucky) guards, causing them to run away. However, because you do not have a weapon that is sufficient enough to block a full sized enemy blade, all incoming attacks will hurt you.

While in battle, if you see a guard you are fighting physically emote in any way (for example, taunting you or cowering in fear), press Low Profile Assassinate while facing them to score an instant kill without having to counter.


Assassinations

Loud assassination: Hold L1 + R1 and press Square. You can do this while running up to a guard, and it almost always works from any angle. However, it is noisy and causes civilians to run for guards.

Silent assassination: Hold L1 and press Square. It has less of a chance of working, and works best when used behind guards so no one hears you.

Assassination in Jerusalem

When you go to Jerusalem and do the assassination with the guards surrounding you, do not try to fight them off. Instead, turn around and run up the ladder to get to the second floor. A short intermission sequence will show your target running away and up another ladder. Hold R1 + X and run across the chandeliers. The ladder will be to the right. Run up the ladder, and another short intermission sequence will show your target on top of another building. Chase him down, and have your wrist blade enabled (press Up). Then, press L1 to lock onto your target while still chasing him down. When you get close enough, the word "Assassinate" will appear for Square in the upper right of the screen. Press it to complete your task. After another intermission sequence, evade the guards by jumping onto building roofs, hiding, etc. Make your way over to the bureau to complete the memory.


Defeating the Master

When fighting the Master, he will take away your ability to use radar and make it difficult to see. This also allows him to hit you once and kill you. Lock on to him, and use a throwing knife against him. This will take away his power to blind you and make him easier to kill.


Transformers reference

Go to the southwestern-most vigilantes in the poor district of Damascus. On one of the buildings around them, you should see an outcropping in the wall, climb on it to see it looks exactly like G1 Optimus Prime in vehicle mode. Note: There may be more than one outcropping in the area, so look carefully. If you lose sight of the vigilantes, you have gone too far.

War Hawk Tips and Tricks

Extra missiles

When you get the single shot homing missiles in any aircraft, you should only be able to get a total of three. However, if you pause the game, wait approximately fifteen seconds, then resume the game, you should be able to pick up three more. This will only work until you get nine missiles.


Dodging missiles

To dodge missiles faster, roll and flip in the air. This will work approximately 70% of the time.


Easy points in TDM

To get easy points, go to a base that your team does not control, and stand next to the flag. You will see a bar appear at the bottom of the screen. If the other team owns this base, the bar will move to the center (neutralize), and you will get two points. It will then move to the other side filling with your teams color (gaining), thus giving you two more points. This process is easy and can get you four points in under twenty seconds.


Split-screen online

When creating a game, turn the split-screen on. During the game, press Start on the other controller(s) to activate split-screen mode. You will all share your screen name.


Updating stats

Due to a server error (partly because of global servers), your stats some times will not update immediately. To see your stats, log off for four or five hours, then log back on, and your stats should be updated.
